Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT= thoughts influence feelings. Change your thoughts, change your view, change your feelings.

My CBT is a little non-traditional in that I realize that thoughts and feelings don’t happen in a vacuum but your identities and  your environment have an influence on how these are manifested and the change process.

Therapy for Self-Esteem through Mindfulness and Self-Compassion

I believe the pathway toward increasing self-esteem is through therapy rooted in mindfulness and self-compassion. Therapy together means we examine areas in your life that are important to you and that motivate you to take care of yourself even when you feel inadequate, like you have failed, or that you don’t “deserve it.”

Culturally Competent Affirming Therapy

I look at how family, identities, society and other influences impact the view of yourself and your concerns. I tailor my therapy to consider these factors and look at unique strengths that have emerged.
