Black Psychologist near Fairfax, Virginia

You are tired of having to explain yourself to everyone in your life. You want to be able to freely be yourself without fear of judgment. You are ready to learn the peace and joy that comes with self-acceptance.

I believe that the most effective therapy is a collaborative process. With me, clients don't just get a therapist who listens—they get someone who understands what they're going through  and is active in the process of helping them  find their own voice. In addition to feeling seen and affirmed, clients have told me that they feel brave to be themselves and to set boundaries in ways that are right for them.

My approach is warm, supportive,  straightforward. With the help of humor and metaphors, I will help you explore and discover inner strengths and discover your brand of courage.

I am a child of immigrants, Black Psychologist, and nerd. Though I did not become a medical doctor, lawyer, or engineer like my parents wanted (psychologist is close enough I guess ), I found that my true calling was in helping others understand themselves and their stories and finding self-acceptance through therapy.
